As a PECU member, you have access to a wide range of insurance products. Some of the products are available directly through PECU, while others are offered through PECU’s partnership with Trustage. The following insurance products are available directly through PECU:

 

Gap Advantage Coverage: This is auto insurance protection in the event you have your car damaged beyond repair (totaled) or stolen, and your loan amount is not paid entirely by your auto insurance. PECU’s GAP Advantage coverage pays up to $50,000 and may also provide $1,000 toward a new auto loan. Compare rates. PECU’s GAP Advantage costs less than other GAP providers.

 

Credit Life Insurance: This insurance pays a loan off in full up to $50,000 in the event the borrower dies prior to age 70. This low-cost insurance offers a maximum loan term up to 120 months.

 

Disability Insurance: Protection in the event you are unable to perform the functions of your occupation that are caused due to medical reasons or by becoming disabled due to an accident. Pays monthly disability payment up to $650 in the event the borrower is disabled prior to age 66. Maximum loan term is 120 months.

 

In addition, PECU partners with TruStage to offer you more great insurance options. You should know that TruStage teams with more than 3,500 credit unions and insures more than 20 million people. Auto Insurance: Underwritten by Liberty Mutual, new customers who switch average $586 in savings.

 

Property Insurance: You could save a bundle on Home Insurance, Condo Insurance and Renters Insurance.

 

Life Insurance: Options include Term Life, Whole Life and Guaranteed Acceptance Whole Life.

 

AD&D Insurance: Traditional AD&D, plus options for adding Cancer Heart Attack & Stroke Coverage

 

Health Insurance: You can apply for these plans any time of the year. In some cases, you can have coverage as soon as tomorrow. Coverage may make sense if you are under 65 and in good health; or waiting for ACA open enrollment, needing a bridge to Medicare, turning 26, divorcing, or looking for a COBRA alternative.
